Accounting for Business
Individual Course by Rajesh Raheja
The aim of the seminar is to enable
students to develop critical thinking skills and to enable them to apply
financial and managerial accounting techniques to become better managers. It
will attempt to enable the students to use accounting and financial information
for the purpose of planning, controlling, reporting and decision making.
The emphasis of the seminar is interpretation, rather than the construction, of accounting information. Therefore, the intention of this seminar is NOT to train students to become accountants, but to supplement their previous education and expertise so that they understand, analyse, and discuss accounting information in a work environment to make well-reasoned decisions, manage performance better, and build strong business cases for their departments.
